Bernard Kulkusky Obituary

Bernard R. Kulkusky, 76, of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill, following a two-month illness.

Born in Hazleton, November 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Bernard S. and Genevieve M. (Stetz) Kulkusky and spent the past 45 years in Hazleton, after moving from Tresckow.

Bernard was a foreman for Penn Transfer Ltd in West Hazleton for 30 years and retired from Hershey Foods as a CDL Driver in 2013. He was a member of the Catholic Faith, the Knights of Columbus and various social media groups. Bernard enjoyed vacationing in Brigantine, NJ; Maine, Las Vegas, and in his later years loved going to Aruba. In his free time, he liked going to casinos, playing cards, all types of sports, and collecting sports memorabilia.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his sister, Joanne Kulkusky.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Margaret A. Davis to whom he was married on June 27, 1981, in Nuremberg; three children, Bernard R. Kulkusky, Jr. and wife Lisa Ann, Middletown; Lisa Anne Cellini, Boyertown; and Dawn Marie Tice and husband Matt, State College; two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Madison Tice; a sister, Cynthia Drummer, Catasauqua; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10 AM in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 PA-93, Sugarloaf, PA 18249. Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9 AM until the time of the Mass. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
