Barry L. Ray, 76, of Hazleton, passed away Friday afternoon, August 23, 2024, at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Berwick, following a brief illness.
Born in Kingston, May 11, 1948, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Laura (Martin) Ray and spent the past 20 years as a resident of Eagle Rock Resort in Hazleton.
Barry worked for Pets United in Hazleton and Procter and Gamble for many years. He was a member of the Mainville Sportsman Club, where he was an excellent target shooter. Barry was an avid reader and hockey fan who adored spending time with his family, watching golf, and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, Judith Stephens Patterson, and her son, Joel Patterson.
Surviving are Judith's son, Gregory Patterson, and his wife, Penny and daughter, Rebecca Patterson; two grandchildren, Robert Patterson and Glenna DePoe and her husband Christopher; and great-grandson, Christoper "Topher" DePoe.
His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, assisted the family with the arrangements.
