Barbara A. Wenner, 88, of Drums, passed away suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2023, at her residence.
Born in Dorrance, March 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Petrosky) Ervin and had spent most of her life in Drums.
Barbara was a machine operator and laborer at many local garment factories and had also worked at WalMart, Hazle Twp prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Johns. Barbara loved to feed and watch birds from her window, taking care of her cats and putting puzzles together.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Clyde L. Wenner; who passed away April 1, 2004; sisters, Julia A. Hurish, Rosemarie Ervin, Josephine Rupinski, Gertrude Houser, Helen Haines, Anna Pawlowski, Stella Hoch, and Ethel Eckrote, and brothers, Edward Hurish and Jack Ervin.
Surviving are four children, Clyde W. Wenner and his wife Robin, Jonestown; Jimmy Wenner, Drums; Kenneth Wenner, Drums; and Sue Slesser, and her husband Hob, Benton; six grandchildren, William Frey and wife Lisa; Nicole (Wenner) Crisman and husband Eric; Alicia Engle and husband James; Tricia Loomis and husband Carl; Shelly Paden, Steven Wenner and wife Bre; 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Ernest Wenner, Nescopeck; and sister-in-law, Shirley Kessell, Tresckow.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St. Johns. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 AM until the time of service.
