Arthur Drevenak, 92, of Drums, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, August 29, 2023, at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community in Drums, following a brief illness.
Born in Hazleton, July 11, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Laura (Noss) Drevenak and lived most of his life in Drums.
Arthur was first a carpenter; in business with his father and brother. Later Arthur and his brother owned several woodworking businesses. Finally, Arthur finished his working career as a van driver for Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, taking patients to appointments before becoming a resident there himself. He served his country in the Naval Reserves. He was a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed flying, as he owned his own private plane, and enjoyed metal detecting, hunting, and pitching horseshoes.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, the former Ruth Unger; a son, Robert Drevenak, brothers, Elmer and John Drevenak, Jr. and a sister, Martha Jane "Susie" Gleeson.
Surviving are a daughter Daphne Repanshek and her husband Brian, Red Lion; two grandchildren, Vanesa, and Dustin Repanshek; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
