Antoinette (Berrios) Ortiz

Antoinette Ortiz, 88, of Drums, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton following a sudden illness. 

 Born in Bronx, NY, February 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Juan "Eladio" and Maria (Torre) Berrios and spent the past 25 years in Drums, after moving from Philadelphia. 

 Antoinette was a Receptionist for a security service. She was a member of many Beech Mountain Lakes Committees including the safety and social club.  

 She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, John who passed away February 26, 2022. 

 Surviving are four children, Joanne Perez and husband Joseph, Glendora, CA; Anthony Ortiz and wife Ann, Sewell, NJ; John Ortiz and wife Cindy Getz-Ortiz, Sugarloaf; and Thomas Ortiz and wife Diane, Yardley; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Emily Burno, Rehoboth Beach, DE; and several nieces and nephews. 

 Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Saturday March 25,2023 at 1 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums . Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 12pm until the time of the service.
