Anthony J. Pizzi, Sr., best known as "Tony", passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Tony was 80 years old and born in Bryn Mawr. He was the son of the late Achille and Nancy (née DiFerdinando) Pizzi.
Tony was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for Wyeth/Ayerst, St. David's. He was a US Navy veteran from 1958 - 1961 where he obtained the rank of Seaman (E3). He was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two brothers Ralph and Joe Pizzi.
He was the beloved husband of Margaret V. (née Manzi) Pizzi; loving father to Anthony J. "AJ" (Anastasia) Pizzi, Jr.; Nancy (George) Hansell; Dominic M. (Stacey) Pizzi; Francis G. (Melissa) Pizzi; and Mary Ellen (Samuel) Watkins; Pop to Jacquelin "Jax"; Anthony III. "Tony"; and Thomas "Tommy" Pizzi; Samantha Hansell; Owen and Noah Pizzi; Hannah, Holly, Sofia Pizzi and Austin Whittington; brother of Lou (Marie) Pizzi, Marianne Ferst; and Josie (Bruno) Iozzo; and brother-in-law of Nora Pizzi.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 10 AM in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 87 S. Hunter Hwy, Drums. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9 AM until the time of the Mass. A second Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11 am in
Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 35 Old Eagle School Road, Strafford, PA 19087. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the local arrangements.
