Anna (Smetana) Milot

Anna Milot, 87, of Fern Glen, passed away Saturday morning, February 24, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton following a sudden illness. 

 Born in Hazleton, December 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Chitswara) Smetana and spent most of her life in Fern Glen. 

 Anna was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Weston. Anna was an avid animal lover and was particularly fond of taking care of her cats.

 She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, John S. Milot, Sr., a son, Steven M. Milot, a sister, Mary Woodring, and three brothers, Michael, Peter, and John Smetana. 

 Surviving are her son John S. Milot, Jr., Fern Glen; a brother, Stephen Smetana, McAdoo; and many nieces and nephews. 

 Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 554 Main Street, Weston.  There will be no public viewing.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery.  Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen is assisting the family with the arrangements.
