Alvin G. Kirschner, 69, of Drums, passed away Monday afternoon, January 26, 2026, at his residence.
Born in Hazleton, April 16, 1956, he was the son of the late Alvin and Lorraine (Keck) Kirschner and had spent his entire life in Drums.
Alvin was a Welder for Dorr Oliver in Hazleton and had also worked at Garland in Freeland and Newmark in Valmont. He was a member of St. John's UCC. Alvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking care of his vegetable garden and plants, and loved his dog, Emmy Lou.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two sons, Paul Dice, and Glenn Kirschner.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Louise Ackers, to whom he was married on January 23, 1982, in Conyngham; daughter-in-law, Beth Dice, Weatherly; grandchildren, Kari and Kyle Dice; Weatherly; a sister, Linda Deshisky and husband Tom, Drums; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will take place privately in St John's Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St John's.
