Alma L. Casner, 92, of Drums, passed away Thursday afternoon at Glen Brook Nursing and Rehab Center, Berwick, where she had resided for the past three years.
Born in Drums on December 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Darwin and Laura (Houseknecht) Siegfried and had spent most of her life in Drums.
Alma was a Sewing Machine Operator for the garment industry. She was a long-time member of Conyngham United Methodist Church, Conyngham. Alma enjoyed spending her time reading and crafting. She was also a devoted wife and caretaker to her husband Cyrus.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Cyrus D. Casner who passed away on May 25, 1993; companion, Victor Hauze, three brothers, Darwin "Bill", Charles and George Siegfried; and three sisters Emma Sharbaugh, Marjorie Kemper, and Gloria Gardy.
Surviving are a brother, Richard Siegfried and wife Janet, Easton; two sisters, Jean Lowery, Drums; and Alice Hunter and husband William, Nescopeck; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 1 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will take place privately in Red Rock Cemetery, Sugarloaf. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 12 PM until the time of the service.
