William E. Swigart

William E. Swigart, 69, of Hazle Twp., passed away Saturday evening at the Gardens at Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Bloomsburg, May 23, 1948, he was the son of the late Clayton D. Patterson and Mariam Swigart and has spent most of his life in Hazle Twp.

He worked in the laundry department at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hazleton and was a member of Faith U.C.C.  Church and the Butler Twp. Fire Police.  He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, and enjoyed bowling, pool, and trap shooting.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister Margie Heller.

Surviving are his brother Russell Swigart, Sr., Hazle Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2pm in Faith U.C.C. Church, Hazleton. Burial will take place at a later date in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia.
