Sy was one in a million. I roasted many a pigs for you back in the 80's. The Frey's always made you feel at home. Sy you will be missed by so many. Our prayers to your family as they go through this healing process. Sy is in good hands. I am sure Jr. was waiting with open arms as he settled in. Along with many others in the Valley. Rest in Peace Sy.....

I am sorry for your loss: husband, father, brother, granpap, friend: Sy Frey. He was a great ball player and I played with him mostly softball and some basketball on the old Rock Glen court when they would get on, evenings. It was a crazy group: Shakey, Dave Knelly, the Mummies, Jimmy Bolinsky, all them guys, and I was a notch below. But hey they needed a tenth. I remember when they had a team in the Edwards tournament and I was up there watching and the team they were playing was routing them. They had a shooter some hotshot and he was pouring them in. So, after he poured in one too many and Sy being under the basket retrieved the ball and threw it back to the hot shot yelling here, here, that's what you want. And the dude proceeded to toss in two more shots on Sy's inbounds, before he gave up on that. Am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Joe Bertoldi

Helcha - Roger - Dan - Karen and all.
God Bless - lots of prayers and love to you all!!
Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back at all the memories help comfort you tomorrow.
If the people we love are stolen from us,
the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them.Β

It is hard to say good bye, but It will be the little things, such as, how you treated us as kids
and how my mom would just love it in the spring and say "I gotta start some tomato plants for Sy and Helcha." How kind he was to my mom and I will never forget the big hug he gave our mom at her 80th birthday party. I will always remember Sy kindness and the way he like to talk about sports.

It's hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things, that will help me
to laugh until I get to see you again my friend. R.I.P. Sylvester!!! Grow that big
garden in heaven.

Love to you all,
Maryann
