Sylvano Anthony "Tag" Tagnani, 87, of Conyngham passed away Monday morning, November 26, 2018 at his home following a two-year illness.
Born in Ashley, July 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Carlo and Adrianna (Bartoletti) Tagnani and resided in Sugarloaf for the past 35 years.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War having served from 1949 - 1952, and attained the rank of Corporal. After his service Tag graduated from Wilkes University and became a Consultant in the garment industry. This included work with Manhattan Shirt, McGreggor Industries, Polo, Individualized Shirt, and DeRossi & Son Military Uniforms. He also founded several of his own manufacturing companies including Pegtails and Tagelle Shirt, which were located in a garment factory in downtown Hazleton.
He was a member of the Valley Country Club since 1976, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing poker with his friends. His eternal optimism, generosity, good humor, and love of life will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Gus.
Surviving are his wife, ther former Judy Faytko to whom he was married on July 22, 1989 in Sugarloaf; a step-daughter Krista Schneider, her husband Robert and their children Ben and Ella, Conyngham.
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Service Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 6 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Cremaory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 pm until the time of the service. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
