Just found out the sad news.... So difficult to believe my dear friend, Steve, so full of life and who spread so much joy, has passed.
Our family moved to the Hazleton area when my sister, Mich, my brother, Joe and I were in Jr High School in the 1970's. Steve immediately welcomed us, introducing us to the Dipple Manor group and other friends at West Hazleton High. We spent so many fun times together. I'll always remember Steve just as in this picture... always smiling, laughing, bringing joy to everyone in his presence.
After having moved away from Pa for college, we lost touch. I connected with Steve again in the 1990's as we were both regulars at the Woodlands for weekly "30 Something Nights"---dancing to the tunes of the '70's and 80's. Steve always made certain everyone around him was having a good time, as usual. (My eyes are full of tears and my heart is heavy with sadness for the loss of my great friend--such a warm, loving person.)
My condolences to Steve's family, children, Jason and Jennifer, Jill and Debra.
On behalf of my family, Steve, we love you and are so fortunate to have known you. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend!

My deepest sympathy, thoughts, & prayers are with all Steve's family on this great loss of your beloved.  I knew Steve from going out a lot of places in the past such as Dino's Pizza & Restaurant/Laurel Mall,  The Comfort Inn , & parties we were invited to; and then became good friends.  I will never forget Steve taking my package and calling me to say that I had left it in Dino's and he picked it up for me; so that I could have it.  The package was something I really wanted to have; so I was glad that he found it for me.  I will always be grateful to him.  He was a great guy with a great sense of humor, always happy go lucky, so much fun to be with, and he would do anything for you.  He was loved by many, and will be sadly missed.  May God Bless his family at this difficult time! & May he rest in peace!

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Kokinda family on the loss of Steven. I met & got to know Steve at the Laurel Mall. He & I used to hang out there every Saturday & eventually became friends. He was a great guy & a lot of fun to be around. He may be gone from this Earth physically, but he will never be forgotten. God Bless!
