Stephen J. Gudich, 78, of Nuremberg, passed away Sunday afternoon January 5, 2020 at Weatherwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Fern Glen, PA, May 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Milot) Gudich and spent the past 27 years in Nuremberg after moving from Florida, where he had lived for 11 years. Prior to that he had lived in Weston.
Stephen was a truck driver and the Proprietor of Gudich Trucking. He was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, and had been a member of the Twin County Lions Club in the early 1980's. He was an avid Chevrolet enthusiast and enjoyed working on his trucks.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Joseph and a sister Catherine Mehalick.
Surviving are his wife, to whom he would have been married 55 years on January 9th, the former Patricia Yurcho; two sons Lawrence and his wife Nina, Nuremberg; and Stephen "Chip" and his wife Kathy, Sugarloaf; four grandchildren Marianna, Dario, Jacob, and Grace; a sister Margaret Fury, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Noon from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date.
