Stanley J. Brozyna, Jr., 81, of Conyngham, passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Yorktown, on February 16, 1937, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Agnes (Yatsko) Brozyna and had spent the last 48 years in Conyngham after moving from St. John’s.
Before his retirement Stanley worked as a Flexograph Pressman at Bemis, Hazleton and had also worked at Highway Trailers. He was a member of Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Drums; served in the US Marine Corps, and was a member of Anthracite Detachment of the Marine Corps League #428 West Hazleton, Military Order of the Devil Dogs Keystone NE, Pound 38, PA Pack, lifetime member of Valley VFW Post 8161, Conyngham, and a member of the Nescopeck Hunting and Rifle Club. He was an avid outdoors man, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and marksmanship, feeding and observing wildlife, reading military novels, and traveling; especially to Las Vegas and Lake Erie. His fondest memories were spent with his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Proceeding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his loving wife, Regina (Shandrick) Brozyna who passed away in 2016; granddaughter, Nadine Zanolini, 2001; and sister, Margaret Lohenitz.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean Zanolini and husband, Jerry, Drums; and Ann Brozyna, Conyngham; three grandchildren, Adrienne LaCrone and husband Dale, Lebanon; Jeremy Zanolini and wife Sydney, Ft. Cambell, KY; and Sabrina Zanolini, Drums; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Zanolini and Lilly LaCrone, a sister, Agnes Kisenwether and husband Frank, Drums; brother, Joseph Lohenitz, some nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
