Ryan F. Peterko, 43, of Sugarloaf Township, passed away early Sunday morning at his home.
Born in Hazleton, July 11, 1974, he was the son of Joseph J. and Patricia (Sheman) Peterko, Sr, Milnesville. and spent the past six years in Sugarloaf Township after moving from Milnesville.
Ryan was a Maintenance Supervisor for the Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority, and had previously worked as an electrician. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed cooking for them. He enjoyed playing the drums and bass.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Fabian and Ann Peterko; and maternal grandparents Harold and Anna Sheman.
Surviving are his wife of the past six years, the former Kelli Rickert; three daughters Lilly, Caroline, and Jillian Fitt, all at home; a brother Joseph J. Peterko, Jr., Milnesville; a sister Shannon Yanac and her husband Paul III, Lattimer; nieces and nephews Paul IV and Brooke Yanac; Jake and Caleb Rickert; Bethany, Emily, and Greyson Shaud; and Zachary and Tyler Ferguson; aunts and uncles Harold Sheman and his fiancée Denise Avillion; Sharon and Albert Hostrich; and Mary and Jerome Sabulski; and cousins Alan, Chad, and Cherise Hostrich.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 2 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. The Rev. Dr. Jane M. Hess, Pastor of Faith United Church of Christ, Hazle Township will officiate the services. Burial will follow in St. Johns Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St. Johns. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from Noon until the time of the service.
