Robert J. Heeter, 77, of Sugarloaf, passed away Sunday at his residence.
Born in Bloomsburg, November 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Karolyn K. (Kosinski) Heeter and had lived in Sugarloaf for the past seven years after moving from Freeland.
Robert worked as a guidance counselor and assistant principal for the Hazleton and Freeland area school districts. He loved to travel, gardening and played many musical instruments.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by an infant brother Ronald.
Surviving are a sister, Arnella Sloan; two nieces, Valerie McArdle; and Michelle Spayde all of Clearwater FL; two great-nephews, Brian and Alex McArdle and several cousins also survive.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 PA-93, Sugarloaf, with the Rev. Richard J. Polmounter officiating the service. Friends and family are invited to call at the church from 9:30am until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Warren, PA.
