Mary Ann Bellizia, 61, of Sugarloaf, passed away October 4, 2018 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY.
She will forever be remembered most for being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Her family and friends were the center of her strength and the reason she continued her fight. But eventually the Lord called her to be with him.
Some of the things she enjoyed the most were day trips to the country, family gatherings and Christmas time. It filled her heart with great pride to watch Katie perform on stage.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Hazleton High School class of 1975 where she was part of the reunion committee for years to come.
Born in Hazleton, August 15, 1957, she was the daughter of Sam and Mary (DeAngelo) Esposito and spent the past 13 years in Sugarloaf after moving from West Hazleton.
Mary Ann worked at Victoria's Candies, Hazleton. She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband Thomas M. Bellizia Sr., to whom she would be married 40 years on October 14, 2018; daughter Amanda Bellizia, Drums; son Thomas M. Bellizia Jr., and his wife Kendra, Berwick; daughter Kaitlyn Bellizia, Sugarloaf; two grandchildren Zachary and Jaxon Pollack; brother Sammy Esposito, Richmond, VA; brother Jim Esposito and his wife Deb, Emmaus; sister Trisha Holden and her husband Bill, Stockertown; sister-in-law, Helen Bellizia, Hazleton; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Grabey, Sugarloaf; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (East), 669 W. Butler Drive Drive, Drums followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 PA-93, Sugarloaf at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 pm.
