Mabel Bacon Obituary

Mabel M. Bacon, 85, of Drums, passed away late Wednesday evening at her home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Whitehall, MI. August 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hulda (Nickett) Mueller, and spent the past three-and-a-half years in Drums after moving from Holton, MI.

Mabel was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed gardening; watching birds and other wildlife; and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband of 49 years Thomas D. Bacon, who passed away February 26, 1999; and a son Michael Bacon.

Surviving are four children Thomas Bacon Jr, Muskegon, MI; Larry Bacon and his wife Dana, Post Falls, ID; Deborah Wittenhagen, Middle Island, NY; and Chris Bacon and his wife Michelle, Drums; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
