James M. Hynes, 92, of Sugarloaf, passed away early Friday morning, November 1, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hosptial, Hazleton.
Born in New York City, July 15, 1927, and spent the past three years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Lindenhurst, NY
James was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and worked in the financial department of the New York Times for 40 years prior to retiring in 1990.
Surviving are his wife of the past 50 years, the former Judy Miller; four children Joanne Hansen and her husband Keith, Drums; James A. Hynes and his wife Anne, Cortlandt Manor, NY; Edward Hynes and his wife Michelle, Jim Thorpe; and Jean Kralj, her husband Andre and their sons Michael and Matthew, Dorrance; a grandson, TJ Hynes and his wife Michelle, Easton; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.
