George R. Curilla, 68, of Weston, passed away Wednesday, July 25th at Geisinger Medical Center – Danville.
Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late John G. and Rosella (Vivori) Curilla, and had spent the past 28 years in Weston after moving from Oakton, VA.
George was a US Marine who served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Hershey Foods, Humbolt. George was a member of the Mainville Sportsman’s Club and the Central PA Triumph Club. He adored TR3 Triumph Cars and maintaining his Triumph was one of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and trains. Shooting, formula one racing, birdwatching and building ships inside glass bottles were other hobbies he greatly enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and also by his brother, John Curilla.
Surviving are his loving wife, Pamela Curilla (Zartman), with whom he had been married to for 36 years; one daughter, Autumn Snyder and her husband Gary, Concord, NH; one sister, Rozanne Winfield, Fredericksburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 6pm at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
