Eugene F. Hickey, 61, of Drums, passed away Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hosptial-Hazleton following a sudden illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 9, 1956, he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret (McGreevey) Hickey and spent the past 12 years in Drums after moving from Brooklyn.
Eugene worked as a Dental Technician for Nu-Life Dental, while in Brooklyn, and Hilton Reservations and Cargill, after moving to the Hazleton area. He was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife Rosieluz Tamayo-Hickey, who passed away April 20, 2015.
Surviving are a son Christopher, Syracuse, NY; a brother Daniel and his wife Veronica, Brooklyn, NY; and a sister JoAnn LoManto, and her husband Joseph, Brooklyn, NY.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Hwy., Drums.
