Emma C. Judge, 88, formerly of Rock Glen, passed away Monday, January 7th at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hazle Township.
Born in Hazleton, August 31, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Sherman) Hoffman and had spent most of her life in Rock Glen.
Emma was a Seamstress for local garment factories and was a private duty LPN. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Grove and the sewing group Threads of Love. Emma enjoyed reading, quilting and playing Bingo.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband Levi Judge, Sr., an infant daughter Elaine Judge; great-granddaughter Emma Niznek; brothers John, Arthur, William, Elwood, Bobby and Walter Hoffman; and sister Violet Clark.
Surviving are five children Leslie Judge and his wife Laverne, Meyersville, TX; Judy Drebelis and her husband Larry,Rock Glen; June Kennedy and her husband Cormac, Zion Grove; Levi Judge, Jr. and his wife Angie, Denver, CO; and Luann Senchak and her husband Joseph, Dallas, PA; four grandsons Greg and Joseph Niznek, Patrick Kennedy, and Dale Plymale, three great-grandchildren Zachary and Hope Niznek and Vedder Plymale, sister Alice Dyer, Catawissa and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Friday, January 11th from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
