Edward C. Krall, 73, of Cove Village, Zion Grove, passed away Wednesday evening at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre, following a nine-month illness.
Born in Middletown, PA; April 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Gladys (Bailey) Krall, and spent the past seven years in Cove Village, after having resided in Myrtle Beach, SC, Peach Bottom, PA and Annville, PA.
Edward was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, and had also served with the US National Guard in the flight facility at Fort Indiantown Gap. He was a member of Black Creek United Methodist Church, Sugarloaf. Besides his family his greatest devotions were to God and Country.
He was retired from the Engineering Department of Hershey Foods, Hershey, PA. He served as a board member of the Nuremberg Community Players. He loved to fish and enjoyed attending all of his granddaughter’s softball games with his family.
Surviving are his wife, to whom he was married 50 years on October 21, 2017, the former Connie Shifflett; a son Eric Edward Krall, and his wife Kimberly, Sugarloaf; a granddaughter Hannah Krall; two brothers Gerald DeWitt Krall, and his wife Janet, Harrisburg; and Richard Krall and his wife Wanda, Spring Glen; a sister Antoinette Buck and her husband Barry, Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service with Celebration of live will be held , Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 pm from Black Creek United Methodist Church, 158 Golf Course Road, Sugarloaf. Friends may call Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1 pm until the time of the service. Interment will take place Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
