Codie Kaszmetskie, 22, of Bloomsburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton.
Born in Danville, November 17, 1995 she was the daughter of Kerry and Deborah (Schriebmaier) Kaszmetskie, Bloomsburg; and had spent her entire life in Bloomsburg.
Codie graduated from Marian Catholic H.S. class of 2014 with a scholarship to King’s college where she attended their Physician’s Assistant program. She had worked for Arby’s at the Lowe’s Travel Center, Mifflinville; was a member of St. John Bosco R.C. Church, Sugarloaf; and in her spare time enjoyed camping.
She was preceded in death, by paternal grandfather, Edward Kaszmetskie; maternal grandmother, Dora Schriebmaier; uncle, David Kaszmetskie; aunt, Robin Hilliard; and uncle, Allen Gerhard.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Michelene Bernotas, Bloomsburg; paternal grandmother, Dolores Kaszmetskie, Sugarloaf; maternal grandfather, David P. Schriebmaier, Nescopeck; aunts and uncles, David A. Schriebmaier, Sugarloaf; Edward Kaszmetskie and wife Linda, Sugarloaf; Dolores Gerhard, Chicago, IL; Roxanne Kaszmetskie, Rochester, NY; Terri Long and husband Terry, Beaver Town; and Keith Hilliard, Sugarloaf; cousins, Danielle Schriebmaier; Jeremy, Sean and Candice Gerhard; Tyson, Ezra and Eli Manning; Misty Keck; Duane Hilliard; and Melinda, Crystal and Beth Kaszmetskie. Also surviving is Codie’s beloved Black Labrador, Bongo.
