Bruce C. Berger

Bruce C. Berger, 68, of Drums passed away Friday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, following a short illness.

Born in Coaldale, February 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Lyman Henry and Helen May (Scheirer) Berger and spent the past 30 years in Drums after moving from Quakake.

Bruce worked as a Systems Engineer for PPL before retiring in 2011.  He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Fox Manor.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister Barbara Cheesman.

Surviving are his wife the former Donna Lee Santee, to whom he would have been married 45 years on November 25, 2017; three children Aaron Berger and his wife Nancy, Phoenixville; Alison Berger, Eagle Rock; Joshua Berger, Drums; four grandchildren Shawn and Tyler Cook, Theodore Connell, and Leif Berger; a brother Lyman David Berger and his wife Ann, Sheppton; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Burial will follow in Drums Community Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening 6-8 pm.
