Barbara J. (Enama) Reese

Barbara J. Reese, 99, formerly of Conyngham, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Born in Weston, January 4, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Epefino Enama and Mary (Enama) Logar, and step-daughter to Florian Logar.  Prior to residing in Fritzingertown, she had lived in Conyngham for 65 years after moving from Philadelphia, where she had lived during WWII.

Barbara was a 1936 graduate of Black Creek Township High School and had worked in the office of the former Spaulding Bakery, West Hazleton.  She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and step-father, by her husband Norman J. Reese, who passed away August 7, 1999; a son William Reese, 1972; and a sister Violet Mosgo.

Surviving are her son John C. “Jack” Reese and his wife Bonnie, Conyngham; two grandchildren Terri Steinek and her husband Karl, Milton, MA; and Brian Reese and his companion Katie Banks, Lewisburg; two great-grandchildren Dylan and Will Reese; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.  There will be no public viewing.
