Anna Marie Mehalick, 88, formerly of Sugarloaf, and a resident of Providence Place, Drums, passed away Tuesday eveing, March 12, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, following a short illness.
Born in Tresckow, May 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Gula) Coleman. She had resided at Providence Place for the past five years after spending most of her life in Sugarloaf.
Anna Marie was member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf and served as the church's Organist and Vocalist for many years. She had been a member of the former Valley Vocals and served as a vocalist for many weddings and other events.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband John, who passed away November 18, 2005.
Surviving are two daughters Lynn Schaaf and her husband David, Riverton, NJ; and Lee Lynn and her husband David, Palmyra, PA; four grandchildren Christopher, Eric, and Alli Lynn, and Carly Schaaf; a sister Marlene Stelmock and her husband Thomas, Freeland; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 9 am until the time of the Mass.
