Mrs. Anna S. Soltis, 90, of Drums, also known as Chotche and Little Anna Soltis, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home.
Born in Havaje, Slovakia, October 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Pecuch) Skislok, Sr. She came to America in 1947 and resided in McAdoo, unitl 1952, when she moved to Drums.
Anna was a Garment Worker for Carbon Sportswear, Tresckow, for 37 years and Baren Blouse, Hazleton for 5 years prior to retiring in 1990. She was a member of I.L.G.W.U. Locals #225 and #575. She was a member of St. Johns B.C. Church, Hazleton and the Butler Township Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband John, to whom she was married 53 years prior to his passing in 2005.
Surviving are a niece Jean Fetchko Drums and her companion Jack Craig, Hazleton; grand-niece Rhonda Lee Adams and her husband Al, York Beach, ME, and two great-grand nieces Lauren Adams, Hypoluxo, FL, Jennifer Downey, York Beach, ME, and .
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 am with a Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial at St. John' the Baptist B.C. Church, 5 E. 20th Street, Hazleton. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. There will be no public viewing.
