Albert Adams Obituary

Albert F. Adams, 87, of Eagle Rock, passed away late Wednesday evening at the Manor at St. Luke Village, following a seven-month illness.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Emma (Kelly) Adams and spent the past 12 years in Eagle Rock, after having lived in Drums, Sarasota, FL, and Cherry Hill, NJ.

Albert had worked as a Metal Forger for Westinghouse in their Airplane Engine Manufacturing division for 37 years.   He was of the protestant faith.  He served with the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #795, Drums.  He was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Eagles for many years.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife the former Ruth Ethel Young, who passed away January 23, 2018; a sister Dorothy; and brothers William, Walter, Robert, and Thomas.

Surviving are a daughter Bonne Joy Genovese and her husband Michael, Eagle Rock; two grandchildren Kimberly Takwa, and Michael R. Genovese and his wife Allison; three great-grandchildren; a sister Catherine Bretz and her husband Donald, Norwood, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held with a memorial service Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10 am until the time of the service.
