William J. Burger, 84, of Sugarloaf passed away Monday afternoon in Sugarloaf Twp. following injuries sustained in a logging accident.

Born in Nescopeck, August 12, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Drevenock) Burger and had spent the past 54 years in Sugarloaf after moving from Hazleton.

William was the proprietor of Burger Logging, Sugarloaf.  He was a US Army Veteran, and member of First United Church of Christ, Nescopeck.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife Marguerite (Kuzma) Burger who passed away on April 11, 2012.

Surviving are three children, David Burger and his wife Theresa, Hollenback Twp.; Dianna Burger and her partner Tammy McHenry, Danville; and Denise Milhoan and her husband John, Peoria, AZ; two grandchildren Jesse and Tegan Milhoan.

His funeral will be held Monday at11 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from10 am until the time of the service.
