Violet F. (Schigner) Wargo, 95, passed away suddenly Friday morning at the residence of her daughter, where she resided in Sugarloaf.

Born in Fairhope, PA on February 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Owat) Kuklar, and had resided in Sugarloaf for the past 18 years after moving from Coxeville and Beaver Meadows.

She was a past member of St. Peters and Paul RC Church in Beaver Meadows, and participated in the church’s annual pierogi sales.  She was a member of the Beaver Meadows Senior Citizens, she thoroughly enjoyed cooking and caring for her family, Bingo, polka music, baking; especially Christmas cookies, playing cards and board games, occasional trips to the casino, reading, family vacations to the Outer Banks, bird watching and her cats.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her husband, Harry Schigner Sr.; her second husband, Nicholas Wargo; son, John Schigner; grandson Jason Schigner, and her 11 siblings.

Surviving are her son, Harry Schigner, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Hazleton; daughters Nancy Jamack with whom she resided in Sugarloaf; and Janet Schigner and her fiancée Brian Zebertavage, Sugarloaf; daughter-in-law Christine Schigner, Palm Bay FL; five grandchildren, John Jr., Michael, and Carl Schigner, Justin Magula, and Sarah Jamack, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:30am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Beaver Meadows.  Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home from 9:30am until the time of the service.
