Thomas F. Raimann

Thomas F. Raimann, 73, of Eagle Rock Resort, Hazle Township and formerly of Mahwah, NJ, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 31st surrounded by his loving wife and caring friends at his home following a three year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

He was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 18, 1943, and had lived in Eagle Rock Resort since 2007 after moving from Mahwah, NJ.

Tom was a General Contractor and President of Raimar Corp. from 1985 until his retirement in 2007.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Sheppton.  He was a veteran of the New Jersey National Guard and was called up to active duty with the US Army Reserve in 1962.

He was a member of the Architectural Control Committee at Eagle Rock Resort and enjoyed helping his friends with carpentry and home improvement projects.  He was an avid bowler and golfer.

Surviving are his wife of the past 33 years Virginia “Ginny” nee Marquino; two daughters Kimberly Harnett, son-in-law Bob of Ringwood, NJ; and Kristin Raimann of Oakland, NJ; three grandchildren Kayley, Shane, and Shannon Harnett; a sister Nancy Ramming, Cherry Hill, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday at 11 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s RC Church, 14 E. Oak Street, Sheppton.  Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 10 am until the time of the Mass.  Burial will take place Saturday at 11 am in Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, NJ.
