Sylvester T. Frey

Sylvester T. Frey 77, of Scotch Valley passed away Wednesday morning at Maria Hall, Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg, August 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Alvin G. and Helen E. (Hontz) Frey and spent all of his life in Scotch Valley.

A graduate of Bloomsburg High School in 1957, he was the owner of Scotch Valley Restaurant for many years, and was a member Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt Grove, the Tip-Top Hunting Club and was a fan of all sports especially basketball and baseball and played in the Industrial Basketball League on the Rock Glen Team and also various baseball league teams.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents by a son Paul Frey on December 19, 2009.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Helen Kuczynski, to whom he was married for 57 years, two sons, Roger Frey and Daniel Frey and his wife Karen all of Scotch Valley; three grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Cassandra, and Sarah; a great-granddaughter Alaysia; two brothers, Alvin James Frey and his wife Joan, Mt Grove; and Dennis Frey, Scotch Valley; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family through Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen.
