Rose Marie (Kassock) Lombardo

Rose Marie Lombardo, 94, of Hazle Twp. passed away Saturday from injuries sustained following an automobile accident in Hazleton.

Born in Cranberry, December 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Imbert) Kassock and had spent her entire life in the West Hazleton, Hazle Twp. area.

Rose was fond of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team and passed that love onto her family.  She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with family, caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Gabriel Lombardo, who passed away in 2001; sisters, Theresa Stanziola and Rita Wetzel.

Surviving are three daughters, Lois Springer, Grapevine, TX; Barbara Lombardo, Redline, PA and Gabriella Norgard and husband Michael, Plano, TX; grandchildren, Stephen J. Martonick and wife Carol, Drums; Donald G. Martonick and wife Kimberly, Newport, Pa; Lisa Springer and husband Rob Gorman, Australia; Gabrielle Springer and husband Martin Balleux, Flower Mound, TX; Kara Wily and husband Ramji, Los Angeles, CA; Andrea Springer and husband Martin Brunnelle, Canada; Gina Quon and husband Matthew, Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Stephen J. Martonick, Jr; Amber Leigh Martonick; Donald Martonick, Jr; Carmella Martonick; Sophia Martonick; Michael L. Quon; Aurora Gorman; Taylor Balleux; Simon Balleux; Jake Wily; Jacqueline Wily; Zakary Brunnelle, and Nicholas Brunnelle; great great-grandchildren, Riley Martonick and Anna Martonick, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her funeral will be held with a memorial mass celebrated Friday at 11:00 am in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton, followed by committal in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM.
