Robert W. Michael, 94, of Beaver Township, passed away early Saturday morning at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, following a three-month illness.
Born in Beaver Township, March 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Florence (Hauck) Michael and spent his entire life in Beaver Township.
Robert was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a retired electrician for I.B.E.W. Local #607, Shamokin. He was a member of St. Peter’s (Harger’s) United Church of Christ, Beaver Township and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and hunting.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister Dawn Schell.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marianna Dollman, to whom he was married 69 years on June 26, 2017; four children Kay Kuczynski and her husband Charles; James R. Michael and his wife Teresa; David W. Michael; and Van W. Michael and his wife Linda; a sister Gloria Fritz and her husband Norman, all of Beaver Township; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, at Noon from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Burial will follow privately in Harger’s Cemetery, Beaver Township.
