Regina (Shandrick) Brozyna

Regina (Shandrick) Brozyna, 80, of Conyngham, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton, following a one-month illness.

Born in St. Johns, April 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Timcho) Shandrick and spent the past 46 years in Conyngham after moving from St. Johns.

Regina worked in concessions at Evergreen Raceway; as a seamstress for Scamper Sportswear, Hazleton; as a sales consultant for JoAnn Fabrics, Laurel Mall; and as a jewelry consultant at Gee-Bee’s and later Value City, Church Hill Mall.

She was a member of Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums and had been a Girl Scout Leader.  She enjoyed dancing, bowling, sewing, and shopping; trips to Las Vegas and all local casinos; and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a granddaughter Nadine Zanolini, who passed away in 2001; brothers Edward and Lawrence Shandrick; and a sister Helen Shandrick.

Surviving are her husband of the past 52 years Stanley J. Brozyna; two daughters Jean Zanolini and her husband Jerry, Drums; and Ann Brozyna, Conyngham; three grandchildren Adrienne LeCrone and her husband Dale, Drums; Jeremy Zanolini, Ft. Campbell, KY; and Sabrina Zanolini, Drums; two great-grandchildren Caleb Zanolini and Lilly LeCrone; a sister Delores Smith and her husband Donald, Endwell, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening 6-8 pm.
