Reed Arlen Witner

Reed Arlen Witner, 58, of Tomhicken, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, following a two-year illness.

Born in Ogden, Utah, March 22, 1959, he was the son of the late Harold and Donna (Lange) Witner and spent most of his adult life in Tomhicken.

Reed was employed as a programmer for Lockheed-Martin, Archbald.  He enjoyed golf and travel, and at one time enjoyed driving race cars and had earned his pilot’s license.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister Cynthia Witner.

Surviving are two sons Brent Witner and his significant other Christina Coxe; and Scott Witner and his wife Jennifer, all of Hazleton; seven grandchildren; eight siblings Kerry Witner and his wife Kim; and Marlene Witner, all of Maryland; Cheryl Beauregard and her husband David, Drums; Catherine Rooney; and Mark Witner, both of North Carolina; John Witner and his wife Lisa, Sugarloaf; Stephen Witner and his wife Joelle, Hazleton; Christopher Witner and his wife Vicky, Nescopeck; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation Saturday evening 7-9 pm at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Funeral and interment services will be held privately.
