Patrick Joseph Fay III

Patrick Joseph Fay, III, 30, of Freeland, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton, October 3, 1986, he was the son of Nannette (Williams) Fay, Drums and Patrick J. Fay, Jr., Surfside Beach, SC.  Prior to residing in Freeland he had also lived in Hazle Township and Drums.

Patrick had worked as a technician for Siegwerk, Drums and also as a Social Services Aid at Catholic Social Services, Hazleton.  He attended Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing video games. He was an avid sports fan of Notre Dame and Philadelphia Eagles football.

He was preceded in death, by a paternal grandfather Patrick J. Fay Sr., a maternal grandmother June Williams; uncles William Fay and David Williams; and a cousin Nicholas Leader.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of the past seven years Aimee L. (Fritz) Fay; and their son Nolan Patrick Fay, Freeland; a sister McKayla Fay, Surfside Beach, SC; paternal grandmother Alice Fay, Freeland; maternal grandfather Philip Williams, Mannasas, VA; a niece Evelynn O’Rourke; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.  Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 9am until the time of the Mass. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a fund established for the benefit of this son, Nolan Patrick Fay, c/o M&T Bank, Laurel Mall Branch, 50 Laurel Mall Dr, Hazle Township, PA 18202.
