Mary A. Yefchak

Mary A. Yefchak 92, of Freeland passed away Sunday January 8, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton following a short illness.

Born in Freeland, February 4, 1924 she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Baron) Yefchak and has spent the past 28 years in Freeland after moving from Vienna, VA.

Mary retired as a confidential secretary to the CIA and was a member of St. Johns R.C. Church Freeland before its closing.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, were brothers John, George, Joseph, Thomas and Michael Yefchak, sisters Irene Yefchak, Ann Keogh, Dolores Wilson and Frances Yefchak.

Surviving are two sister in laws Arlene Yefchak, Freeland; Lottie Yefchak, New Jersey; and a brother in law Donald Wilson, Tucson, AZ, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Memorial and graveside services for Mary will take place at a date and time to be announced later.

Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (East) 669 W. Butler Drive Drums, is assisting with the arrangements.
