Marion M. Storaska, 93, of Beaver Township, passed away early Tuesday morning at her home.

Born in Beaver Township, August 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Rittenhouse) Matyas, and spent the past 25 years in Beaver Township after moving from Rock Glen.

Marion was a homemaker, but had at one time worked as a department head for the W. T. Grant Company.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. She was an active member of the Catawissa Senior Citizens and enjoyed gardening and entering contests at the Bloomsburg Fair in Horticulture, Agriculture, and Baking.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and her greatest joy was babysitting her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Steven H. Storaska, who passed away November 20, 1985; an infant son Timothy Harold Storaska, 1962; and three brothers Harold, Robert, and Carlon Matyas.

Surviving are four children Kathryn Brior and her husband William, Sugarloaf; Steven H. Storaska, Beaver Township; Timothy Storaska and his companion Elizabeth Frederick, Mt. Grove; and Jane Whiteside, Beaver Township; four grandchildren, Matthew and Steven Storaska, Lindsay Christensen and her husband Matthew, and Samantha Brior; two great-grandchildren Blake and Luke Christensen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her funeral will be held Sunday at 3 pm from Trinity Lutheran Church, 1551 Rock Glen Road, Bloomsburg (Mt. Grove), with her pastor the Rev. Gretchen Johanson officiating.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call at the church Sunday afternoon from 1 pm until the time of the service.
