Margaret L. “Peggy” Roczniak, 76, of Drums, passed away early Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hazleton following a brief illness.
Born in Drums, on June 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Arietta (Wagner) Gray and spent her entire life in Drums.
Margaret was a past member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and worked as a seamstress at the Duplan Shirt Factory. She enjoyed photography, visiting National Parks with her husband, hiking, and revered wildlife and all animals.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Walter R. Roczniak, who passed away February 10, 2002, and by her sister Twila Ervin.
Surviving are her daughter Jamie Balliet and her husband Edward, Drums; three grandchildren, McKayla, Bryce, and Kylianne Balliet; two step-grandchildren, Matthew Balliet, and Lisa Kotch; four step-greatgrandchildren, Jacob Balliet, Benjamin, Alex, and Nathaniel Kotch; two sisters, a twin Patricia Drasher and her husband Arthur, Westland MI; Dawn Bortlick, Titusville, FL; a sister-in-law Alberta Campenni, Pittston; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 12pm with a Memorial Service at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the service.
