Margaret Palushock

Margaret Palushock, 89, of Nuremberg passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton following a short illness.

Born in Fern Glen, October 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Phillips) Palushock, Sr. and spent her entire life in Nuremberg.  She had worked as a bookkeeper in the local garment industry.  She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston and the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.

Margaret was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a niece Patricia Cahn.

Surviving are a sister Marie Bookford, Sewell, NJ; a brother Michael Palushock, Nuremberg; a niece Mary Catherine Bookford and a nephew John Bookford and his wife Yolanda, all of Sewell, NJ.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart RC Church, 554 Main Street, Weston.  The Rev. Patrick McDowell will celebrate the Mass.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.
