Louise B. (Molignoni) Singletary

Louise B. Singletary, 98, formerly of Weston, passed away Friday morning at Butler Valley Manor Nursing Home, Drums, where she had been a resident.

Born in Weston, October 19, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Paul Molignoni and Theresa (Brugger) Molignoni Raos.  She had spent most of her life in Weston, but had also lived for 20 years in New York City.

Louise worked as a Blind Sticher in the former Jebbon Manufacturing Garment Factory, Weston, and was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston.  She had also worked for a short time at the Black Creek Health Center, Nuremberg.  While residing in New York, she had worked in a factory that made jewelry boxes and also for the phone company.  She enjoyed baking and was known for her poppy seed bread and apple pies.

Louise was a member of a large and loving family.  She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Horace C. Singletary, who passed away in 1973; a sister Josephine Moore; and three brothers Reno and Frank Molignoni, and Veron Raos.

Surviving are a daughter Carol Singletary, Watertown, MA; two sisters Irene Skoff, Virginia; and Leanor Weinberg, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 10 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening 5-8 pm.  A Christian Wake Service will be held Sunday evening.
