Laurie K. (Klingaman) Barrett

Laurie K. Barrett, 62, of Hazle Township passed away early Saturday morning at her home.

Born in Hazleton, May 14, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Viola (Croll) Klingaman and spent the past 28 years in Hazle Township after moving from Hazleton.

Laurie had worked as a machine operator in local garment factories and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hazleton.  In her younger years she had a stable of horses until a back injury forced her to stop riding.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a son Luke Aaron Blumer, who passed away in 1995; a brother Charles Klingaman; and a sister Sally Felter.

Surviving are her husband of the past 42 years, Allan Blumer; two daughters Christie Corra, Reading; and Lynn Klingaman, Missouri; six grandchildren; a sister Karen Pekala, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
