Judith A. (Stephens) Patterson

Judith A. Patterson, 74, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Hazleton, following an unexpected illness.

Born in Detroit, MI, February 19, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Juanita (Runyan) Stephens.  She lived with her husband Barry and dog, Pepper in Eagle Rock.

After obtaining a Masters Degree in English from the University of Michigan she taught school in Michigan and Texas before becoming COO for Humboldt Industries/The Dogs Outfitter.

Judy enjoyed reading, gardening on her patio, music and NASCAR.  She had a gift for the guitar and played for many years.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a son Joel Patterson, who passed away in 2011.

Surviving are her husband Barry Ray; a son Greg Patterson and his wife Penny, Lewisburg; a daughter Rebecca Patterson, Lewisburg; two grandchildren Rob and Glenna Patterson; two sisters Katherine Bilinsky and her husband Alan, Gulf Breeze, FL; and Barb LeGreca and her husband Sam, Palm Harbor, FL; a brother Allen Stephens and his wife Kathleen, Wilmington, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A family gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
