Joyce E. (Davis) Fisher

Joyce E. Fisher, 77, formerly of Beaver Twp., passed away Sunday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Main Twp., September 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Blanche (Longenberger) Davis and had resided in Bloomsburg for the last seven years but had spent most of her life in Beaver Twp.

Joyce was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Bloomsburg, and had worked at Bloom Woolen Mills and Bon-Ton.  She was a member of the ladies auxiliary for the Beaver Fire Company and her greatest joy was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Gary Fisher, who passed away April 10, 2010; brother, Walter Davis; and sisters, Sandra Stair and Judy Neiswender.

Surviving are her son, Jimmy Fisher and his wife Vicky, Bloomsburg; her daughter, Sheila Chandler and her husband Loren, Crown Point, Indiana; four grandchildren, Patrick and Erika Fisher, and Braden and Kaitlyn Chandler; one great-grandson, Adrian Fisher; two sisters, Shirley Omalia and her husband Joseph, Sun City, AZ; and Sharon Davis, Berwick; one brother, Roger Davis and his wife Joan, Beaver Twp. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, with her pastor Rev. John Kolenda officiating the service. Burial will follow in Davis Chapel Cemetery, Zion Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until the time of service.
