Joseph F. Salkowski, Sr., 56, of Port Orange, FL, passed away Thursday afternoon at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL.
Born in Hazleton, February 4, 1960, he was the son of the late Bernard J. and Carmella (Astorino) Salkowski and spent the past 27 years in Port Orange after moving from Hazleton.
Joseph was an author of fiction books for the J. Bruno Company.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years the former Ann Lyons; a daughter Ashley Goldman; a son Joseph F. Jr., and his wife Tennille, all of Port Orange, FL; six grandchildren; two sisters Linda Beltrami and her husband John; and Maryann Bissol and her husband Joseph, all of Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 12 to 2 pm. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
