Jane M. Markle, 92 passed away Tuesday morning at Heritage Hill Senior Living Community Weatherly where she had been residing.
Born in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Barnhart) Robbins and had spent most of her life in Conyngham.
Jane was a waitress at Damenti’s restaurant and was the proprietor of the Stone Manor Restaurant in Drums from 1944-1948. She was a member of Black Creek United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her first husband John Tressler in 1972, her second husband Don Markle Jr, 1984; and a step-son Don Markle III.
Surviving are a daughter Gale Johnson and her husband Tom, Annapolis, MD, a son William Tressler and his wife Cynthia, Sugarloaf, a grandson Jonathan Tressler and his fiancé Heather, Drums; two great grandchildren Tyler Tressler and Sarah McFadden; a brother Jack Robbins and his wife Mary, Melbourne, FL; a step-daughter Miggy Coates, and her husband John, Dallas, TX; a step-daughter-in-law Carolyn Markle, Conyngham; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a memorial service Friday at 2 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon from 1-2 pm.
