James Peter Rebarchak, Sr.

James Peter Rebarchak, Sr., 85, of Weston, passed away Thursday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, following a sudden illness.

Born in Hazleton, September 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Peter and Agnes (Stashko) Rebarchak and spent the past 63 years in Weston after moving from Hollywood.

James was a retired Master Machinist for Barrett and Haentjens, Hazleton and enjoyed working in his own home machine shop.  He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers Carl and Joseph Rebarchak.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rina Nardon, to whom he was married 63 years on June 26, 2017; four children Debbie Stupak and her husband Gene, Macungie; Cindy Donhue and her hushand Dennis, Union Spring, NY; James Jr. and his wife Bernadette, Weston; and Dennis, Hazle Township; nine grandchildren, Anna, Mary, Lauren, Kate, Jason, Erin, Derek, Michael, and Brian; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart RC Church, 553 Main Street, Weston.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call Monday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.
